Caldera Camp - solo rpg
A downloadable game
CALDERA CAMP is a journaling role-playing game for one player. With a bit of fantasy, it could also be played by multiple people in the form of writing letters to each other if you want to make the scenes longer. If you want to play with friends while being in the same room, my tip is to choose more then one character from the list, to make everyone more involved since there could be a death immediately on the first round. It requires a d12 (or a d6 that you can throw twice) and a tarot deck. It fits on one printed page if you only want to print the rules.
The scenes: Every scene includes a character, a location and an object. Most of the objects are taken from what was popular in the 80s, and some of them might be related to the sad ending of the protagonist of that specific scene if the dice decides to play funny.
The ending: The game ends when only one of the 11 characters survives. The last one standing is also the killer.
Write or record: I wrote this game with the idea of a player writing the scenes on a diary/journal, but I feel it could also be perfect to record it like some sort of found footage.
